I am a registered massage therapist and certified acupuncturist with over 18 years of experience in the health and wellness field. While working in my previously owned clinic Caledon Massage Therapy Clinic, I have had the pleasure to educate and treat many adults and children who have suffered with stress, a condition which can affect your body, mood and behaviour. After having my own children I obtained my Infant Massage Instructor where I taught new Moms techniques for the relief of baby constipation, gas, colic as well as increasing the immune system and bonding.
As a mother of 2, I understand the importance of stress relief for the new Mom as well as child development. I obtained my Brain Gym® consultant certification after my son was diagnosed with an LD. Brain Gym® along with massage therapy helped my son reduce his anxiety and increase his fine and gross motor skills. Reducing his overall stress has allowed him the ability to increase his focus, gain confidence, and improve his overall school work.
As a result of his success I have created self management workshops for schools and students to help them feel "stress free" in the classroom. Over the years I have presented at many schools including Dufferin- Peel and Simcoe. I created my book What's Your Spaghetti? in order to provide care givers, teachers and kids with simple tools to self regulation. Over 1000 copies have been sold to date. Working with children and teens is my passion and by combining my experience and knowledge about the brain and body, I can help parents, caregivers and teachers understand and support their beautiful children.
